Is staccato worth it.
The staccato version is saying you want a sharp/detached sound to the marked notes, but the total time allotted is as marked. That is, the actual sound may not last that long, but the performer should still allow that amount of time. The duration of a staccato is itself open to some interpretation as well.

They're not that expensive for a 2011, I don't have one but I'd say they're probably worth it- especially if you qualify for the mil/le 15% off + 6 mags deal.Changing the recoil spring makes a huge difference. Because the compensator deflects some of the force, you can go a lot lighter and still be quite reliable. I tried a 7 pound spring but it felt sluggish in the return. 8 or 9 pounds is the sweet spot. I believe at this price point I should save a little more for a Nighthawk w/ IOS or buy once - cry once and go for the Chambers Custom (or other full custom maker - I'm just using CC as a reference point ...The ~$750 difference is worth the upgrade in internals and finish alone. It is much more durable than painted on finishes like cerakote. I have a P DUO that has many rounds through it at this time and the only major wear I have seen is on the screws and magwell which I do not believe are DLC'd.

It has a Dawson toolless guide rod with 13lb recoil springs. Coming out of the box it has three stainless steel double stack magazines. It has been designed to keep the magazines from being inserted too far and causing issues that way. One of my carry pieces is the single stack version. Great shooter and light. 8 + 1 is plenty enough for me, if not I have the wilson x9s that accepts 15+1 in a subcompact package that will outshoot the staccato. The P is going to be much more shootable than almost anything else out there. A 9mm 2011 is already on the low end of recoil. I would go with the P.
